Alex represents my first serious attempt at using Adobe Illustrator 88. I think I’ve gone overboard a bit, at 360k and over eight hours of work, but I had to do it! After this, I can see going a little simpler and more graphic on my drawings. This document takes twenty seconds to open and ten seconds to redraw, with every move, on a four-Meg Mac II.
I started with a scan of a favorite photo of a favorite pet (most beguiling blue eyes you ever saw), but none of the scan is left; it was merely a template in the background that would not have printed. The freehand drawing tool was almost all I used, sometimes as a fill with no stroke, sometimes as lines with no fill. This was no easy task with a large cat on my lap most of the time; he tended to rest his head on the keyboard, which can cause complications.
I’ve never had any problems with static electricity with him here; guess
